Kharkov Residential

In February 2007, Amstar Europe acquired the leasehold interest to this 174,000 sqm site in a resort area near the center of Kharkov, Ukraine’s second largest city. Amstar Europe has entitled the site for a mixed use development comprising of 825 apartments, 100 homes and some supporting commercial product.
Primarily built between the 1950s and 1970s, much of Kharkov’s existing residential supply has deteriorated. The city’s housing stock totals only 21 sqm per inhabitant, which is 14 sqm below the United Nations standard. There are no similar high-quality, modern residential communities in the city, giving Amstar Europe a distinct first-mover advantage.
